Rare 50 Years jubilee ATMOS CLOCK in box, numbered 474. In these days of mass production, every Atmos clock is made in Switzerland entirely by hand. A single Atmos clock takes a month to produce and then another five weeks of trial and adjustment before leaving the factory in the Vallée De Joux located in the Swiss Jura Mountains. Atmos is a rare, hard to find item. In a hermetically sealed capsule, a gaseous mixture expands when the temperature rises and contracts when the temperature drops. This principle provides the energy required to drive the clock. A difference of just one degree gives the clock approximately 48 hours of power reserve. 24-carat gold plated polished case.
